Chloe Chow

MSc

Research Manager, GEMINI

My role with the GEMINI team:

I am a Research Manager for the GEMINI team. The main project that I am coordinating is Using artificial intelligence to identify and predict delirium among hospitalized medical patients. I support day-to-day research operations, including research ethics applications, assisting with study protocols and ensuring study milestones are met!

My educational background:

I received my Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in Life Science and then my Master’s of Science in Epidemiology from Queen’s University.

My past experience and accomplishments:

My past experiences include my Master’s thesis project, which investigated the prevalence and determinants of physical activity among ovarian cancer survivors. After completing my master’s thesis, I worked at SickKids Hospital for The Children’s Stroke Program, coordinating an international multi-centre study that investigated the Vascular Effects of Infection in Paediatric Stroke.

A few of my favourite things are:

  • Movie theatre popcorn (with lots of butter)

  • Dogs

  • Swimming and lounging in lakes
